The Great Mango Mela
In the colourful town of Sabzi Nagar, excitement was in the air! The most awaited event of the year was here “The Great Mango Mela!”
Mithu Mango was chosen as the chief Guest because he was the king of fruits and a local hero. Everyone had decorated their carts and stalls. Bindi Bai wore a new green saree and practiced her Bharatanatyam steps. Aloo Bhaiya was busy boiling in the sun (literally!) but still smiling at everyone.
Tamatar Tinku was on the mic, cracking tomato jokes:
- “Why did the banana go to the doctor? Because it wasn’t peeling well!”
Even Kaju Karela had combed his rough hair and put on a bright green kurta, though he pretended he didn’t care.
Suddenly, dark clouds gathered. A storm was coming! Everyone ran for cover. The mango mela was going to be ruined!
But then, Anar Pari flew down from the skies and scattered her magic ruby-red seeds. She whispered, “Only teamwork can save the Mela!”
Nariyal Nana stepped in, “Let’s build a big banana-leaf tent using coconut rope!”
Everyone worked together:
- Bindi Bai tied knots with her long fingers,
- Aloo Bhaiya rolled heavy sticks into place,
- and even Kaju Karela stopped grumbling and held the tent up with his strong arms.
Soon, the storm passed. The sun shone, and the Mango Mela sparkled brighter than ever. Mithu Mango gave a sweet speech:
“When juicy minds and crunchy hearts come together, every mela becomes magical!”
Everyone danced, laughed, and slurped mango rasna under the big tent, happy and full of fruity fun.
