The Mountain series - Part 1
Mount Fuji Finds a Friend
- Mount Fuji (Japan – polite, calm, and artistic)
- Mount Kilimanjaro (Africa – cheerful, warm, and adventurous)
- Mount Etna (Italy – fiery, dramatic, and loves pizza!)
- Mount Everest (Nepal – wise, quiet, and always watching over others)
Mount Fuji stood quietly under a pink sky, watching cherry blossoms dance in the wind.
She was graceful and kind, but deep down… she felt lonely.
“I wish I had someone to paint clouds with,” she sighed, letting out a little puff of steam.
Just then, a voice echoed from afar:
“Hello Fuji! Mind if I join your sky dance?”
It was Kilimanjaro, all the way from Africa! He had snow on top and laughter in his voice.
“You came all this way?” asked Fuji, surprised.
“Of course! I heard you have the best sunrises in the world, and I love sunrises!”
They laughed, painted clouds in the sky using the wind, and even made cloud animals together—a giraffe, a sushi roll, and something that looked like a volcano eating gelato (Etna’s idea, of course!).
At night, as stars blinked above, Fuji whispered,
“I’m glad you came.”
And Kilimanjaro replied,
“Mountains may be far apart… but friends are never really far away.”
No matter how far apart we are, friendship brings us close.
