Story: Everest’s Missing Snowcap
It was a bright morning over the Himalayas, but Mount Everest was frowning.
“Oh dear,” he mumbled, “Where’s my snowcap? I can’t be seen without it!”
Everest was the tallest mountain in the world, and he always wore his snowy white cap with pride.
He looked under the clouds. He checked behind the prayer flags.
But his snowcap was… gone!
Just then, the Alps came sliding in with a soft yodel, wearing a shiny scarf.
“Darling, why so frosty-faced?”
“I’ve lost my snowcap!” Everest sniffled.
“No worries! Let’s ask the others,” said Alps, playing a little tune on a snowy flute.
Soon Andes came hopping over rocks with a llama.
“Hola amigos! Anyone hungry? Wait… Everest, where’s your hat?”
They all searched high and low, even asking Mount Etna who was busy blowing puffs of warm smoke.
“I saw something white flying off toward the clouds!” Etna said with a dramatic puff.
Suddenly, a chilly wind came whooshing down—and Everest’s snowcap landed right on his peak with a gentle flop!
Everyone cheered! Everest chuckled, “Looks like I left it on the wind!”
Moral:
Sometimes what you're looking for comes back when you least expect it!
